Character details
The people of Teyvat have fought Hilichurls for ages, surviving relentless attacks from tribes nearby as they defend their homes. So naturally, someone who would want to get close to Hilichurls (for any other reason then getting rid of them) must be crazy. That's what the people of Mondstadt thought when they heard about a specific book published by an unknown author. Said author had, inspired by Jacob Musk's collection of Hilichurl ballads, statistically documented hilichurl behavior around Mondstadt, hoping to better the relation between humans and monsters. This book was recieved with incredibly negative scores and reviews such as:
"Trying to befriend something that does not show compassion is utter madness. This author has lost their mind."
Little did the people of Mondstadt know that Vicia, the unknown author, had actually succeeded in spending days upon days out on the field, hunting with Hilichurls, Sleeping among them, even going as far as to protect them from incoming human attacks. Maybe, just maybe, Vicia started to suspect the Hilichurls were not the real "monsters" in this scenario.
Character Story 1
Growing up in Mondstadt, Vicia always had a strange obsession with nearby Hilichurl tribes. Looking to gather intel about them, Vicia often went out on expeditions alone, which resulted in them getting hurt badly most of the time. Determined to find why Hilichurls felt the need to attack humans, they persevered trough the attacks and studied the behavioral patterns of the tribes. Being out on the field for days at a time meant they didn't actually have a job, which also means they didn't have a house. Vicia often showed up at the headquarters of the knights of Favonius, as the librarian, Lisa, had taken a particular liking toward them because they always handed in their Hilichurl related books one entire day before due date. Not having a house or money meant Vicia had to make use of the generosity the librarian gave them, taking them up on offers like her cooking for them and giving them a place to sleep. Being at the Knights of Favonius office this much meant all the Knights were aware of their existence, although some had a particular dislike towards their behavior.
Character Story 2
During their extensive research into Hilichurls, Vicia stumbled upon an entire Hilichurl type previously unknown to humans. This type of Hilichurl was only found deep in a previously sealed cave, which came under the caring hand of the infamous "Spark Knight". An explosion from the little knight unsealed just enough of the entrance for Vicia to painstakingly climb trough. The strange creatures they found there had bigger ears, were more agile and their skin was a pale, glossy color. Vicia immediately realized these creatures were very docile towards them, supposedly because they had never interacted with humans before. Vicia, enthusiastic about their discovery, immediately befriended said Hilichurls. During their short visit in the cave Vicia found these Hilichurls only ate mushrooms that grew on the cave walls, and since the cave was dark, these Hilichurls did not have good eyesight. Furthermore, these creatures seemed more knowledgable and compassionate, almost instantly understanding anything Vicia tried to convey. Because of the darkness in the cave, Vicia got injured more then once. To their incredible suprise, the Hilichurls were adept at making the fastest wound healing medicine they had ever seen. They carefully documented everything about these creatures, including their medicine making.
When the time came to leave the cave, Vicia carefully explained the importance of staying away from other humans like them, before making sure the cave entrance was sealed again so no harm would come upon this species.
Character Story 3
After publishing their book and getting incredibly negative reviews, Vicia decided to distribute their further research only to people who could use it properly.
The bio-alchemist of Favonius showed an incredible interest in the bones of Hilichurls, so Vicia taught them more about the anatomy of these creatures.
The Cavalry Captain and Librarian always heard out Vicia's stories, so they excitedly told them the fun parts about Hilichurls.
No matter how many stories Vicia told and how much information they revealed, not once did they mention the "Cave-Churls", as they had dubbed them. They did however use the medicine these Cave-Churls made to help adventurers recover in record speed, claiming this medicine as their own creation. Adventurers were getting cured by it almost everyday and it quickly gained fame in all of Mondstadt. Travellers from Liyue even compared it to the miracles their Dr. Baizhu performed. Intrigued by this doctor, Vicia decided to say goodbye to Mondstadt and all its wonderful monsters to travel to Liyue and meet this doctor. Their hope was to give the recipe to this miracle doctor, as Vicia could barely go out to research Hilichurls anymore with how busy they were making medicine. Giving the recipe to a trusted doctor would allow him to cure all the people in need and allow Vicia to get back amongst the Hilichurls again.
Character Story 4
Nowadays, Vicia works for Bubu Pharmacy. After Vicia gifted the recipe for the Cave-Churl medicine to Dr. Baizhu, he got incredibly intrigued. Wondering how a person without medical background could invent an affordable medicine that works incredibly well, he started asking questions.
It took a lot of persuading from the doctor and his very cute assistant to get Vicia to tell him what had happened. Dr. Baizhu, swearing on his life to keep this a secret, asked if Vicia wanted to work with him, to guarantee he keep his promise. Vicia agreed, on the condition they could go out in the Liyue wilds and find new monsters. While out on their travels in the plains of Liyue, Vicia can gather good quality herbs with help from local Hilichurls, which Dr. Baizhu appreciates. Although Vicia suspects Dr. Baizhu of doing his own dubious research next to being a pharmacist, they have never once questioned his word to keep the Cave-Churls a secret.
Character Story 5
In Liyue, Vicia feels much more at ease spending time in the city with locals. Qiqi, who has become a guide for them, helped massively with getting acclimated to the different culture. Vicia really likes being around Qiqi, although they do not understand why that is exactly. Many people have pointed out to them that Qiqi is actually a zombie, but Vicia shrugs these accusations off as jokes, and simply thinks of Qiqi as a sickly pale child. After all, Why would she be in the care of a doctor if she were not ill?
Ofcourse, with working at a pharmacy also comes the sadder side of caring for patients. Vicia is often the one that contacts the Wangsheng funeral parlor when it is needed. The pharmacy and the funeral parlor aren't on the best of terms, as the director of the parlor dislikes both the doctor and his apprentice herb gatherer. This is why the task of contacting the parlor falls upon Vicia, who is the only person that the Wangsheng director does not dislike.
Hilichurlian Rumors
With Vicia's unlimited expertise in the area of monsters, many people in Liyue theorize that they themselves are a monster. After all, Dr. Baizhu has a zombie apprentice, he would be the most likely to hire monsters. With Vicia's personality ranging from fixated and calm to overexcited and chaotic whenever monsters are near, it isn't too weird to assume there is some sort of link between the monsters and their drastic change in demeanor. However, Vicia has never heard these claims directly and remains blissfully unaware of what Liyue thinks of them.
Vision
One night, when spending time right in the middle of a Hilichurl camp, Vicia was waken up by the roar of a Mitachurl and the clashing of blades. Humans from the Adventurers Guild were attacking the Hilichurl camp relentlessly. Vicia looked around and saw several Hilichurls, already fallen down. An abyss mage had joined the fight too, protecting the few elderly Samachurls in the back. Knowing the stories of the Abyss order, they contemplated running away, before seeing the abyss mage's shield break, and get pushed on the ground. Quickly, Vicia ran to the frontlines, stretching out their arms to protect the mage from an incoming blow with an adventurers sword. With a blinding flash of light, they felt something cold and mossy form in their hand. Seconds later, Vicia saw the sword the adventurer was aiming at the abyss mage had come to an abrupt stop by a thick vine wrapped around the handle and the adventurers hands. Said sword was inching only few millimeters from Vicia's face. They looked at the cold jewel in their hand, and saw that they had been awarded a vision, for recklessly defending the abyss mage from harm. Had this vision not presented itself, Vicia's head would surely have been cleaved by the sword.

You're a traveler right? You must come across a lot of monsters on your journey.. Could you tell me about them? I mean, the Adepti, the Archons.. .... What? The Adepti aren't monsters? .. But please, do tell me about them anyways.
About Vicia: Life in Liyue
The culture differences between Liyue and Mondstadt are quite astounding. I found it somewhat difficult to acclimate to all the different norms here, but Qiqi was a lovely assistant, helping me overcome my culture-shock. One thing I probably will never get used to is the spices they use in their food here.. It always scorches my throat, how do people even eat something that spicy?
About us: Monster sightseeing
We should go look for monsters, I can teach you how to approach them properly so they don't attack you. These skills have many unseen benefits, especially if you are wounded or with someone who can't fight.

I always get so caught up in traveling, I completely forget about the herbs I'm supposed to be picking.. Lets go get some right now, I can show you a few spots they are most likely to grow.

It's almost nighttime, do you know how to set up a camp..? You would think with me being out in the wild so often I would know how to do this, but I.. never learned that skill..
About the Vision
My vision? I see it as a blessing, I like having the upper hand in fights because I have one. I'm fairly certain the gods gave me this with a purpose, so who cares if I abuse it a little bit. It's not like anyone has died from using it, right?
Something to share
I really like working at Bubu Pharmacy, although I think the name is kind of silly.. Dr. Baizhu always shows great interest in the things I do, and Qiqi is so adorable sometimes. At first I wasn't planning on staying in Liyue, but they made me feel.. at home.
Interesting things
There are a bunch of cats down by the harbor in Liyue. I always go there, I've come to find I prefer nonhuman company sometimes. Besides, the cats don't mind being pet, sometimes they flock around me, loudly meowing..
About Dr. Baizhu
Dr. Baizhu is the best doctor in liyue. no, hes the best doctor in teyvat! I always feel at ease when he’s around, It’s such an honor to be working with him. Sometimes Changsheng curls up on my shoulders when he's away, doing personal business.. Changsheng is so sweet.. although, I wonder just what that personal business might be..

ah! the kid! i love her to bits.. she does seem a little.. pale.. does she not? I’m not sure what Dr. Baizhu feeds her but I've been sneaking her grilled fish ever so often, I hope she's not sick.. oh! maybe that's why she's with Dr. Baizhu so much..
